Here's what John Soeder of the Cleveland Plain Dealer had to say about Carly's performance last night:
While it remains to be seen if "Idol" will be a stepping stone to bigger and better things for any of these overnight sensations or just another bridge to nowhere, there was no denying the diamond-in-the-rough talent of Carly Smithson. Her spirited take on Heart's "Crazy on You" was especially impressive.
"It's so easy to sing in front of this many people, as opposed to one Simon Cowell," Smithson quipped, getting a laugh at the expense of the acerbic "Idol" judge.

Another Great Review
Not that anyone is surprised (especially around here) but Carly got more praise for her performance last night in Oklahoma City!
Fortunately, Carly Smithson was on hand to convincingly rock the crowd with covers of Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life," Crazy On You" by Heart and Cyndi Lauper's "I Drove All Night," proving that, if she wants it, she could commandingly lead a mainstream rock band.
